Our “Big Heart of Faith Outreach” is a newly registered non-profit organization being inaugurated for educational purposes in Ghana, especially the Ashanti Region. Three things underpin its establishment:
1) Going through the memory lane, we discovered that we had something in common as founding members, financial difficulties during our schooling. It is our hope and prayer therefore that no child endowed with intellect by God goes through the financial struggles and challenges we went through in our education.

2) We share the vision of Nelson Mandela, that, “Education is the most powerful weapon that you can use to change the world.” It is the key to development and social change and a catalyst to transform children from illiteracy and ignorance and assist them to break out of the cycle of poverty that has been their family’s pattern of life for generations.

3) We share also the Catholic Church’s view that education is a shared responsibility “between families, teachers, associations of various types, as well as by civil society and the entire human community” [Declaration of Christian Education (Gravissimum Educationis), no. 5].
